Here’s a call for art from the Politits Art Coalition, a group of six artists (including myself!) in Rochester, NY working together to promote women in the arts. Take a look at the call below and feel free to contact me with any questions.
Artists are invited to submit to No Man’s Land, the 2nd annual juried exhibition hosted by the Politits Art Coalition. This exhibition will be held at The Yards in Rochester, NY. Open to all media, no size restrictions. Three awards will be offered in this exhibition, chosen by our award jurors Roz Goldman and Calvin Eaton.
Deadline: February 9, 2018
Exhibition Dates: March 2-21, 2018
Opening Reception: March 2, 2018
Closing Reception: March 18, 2018
Submission fee: $15 for 3-5 images. Please send $15 via PayPal to polititsartcoalition@gmail.com at the time of submission.
This year, we will accept works from up to 40 artists. Submissions are particularly encouraged from female-identifying, POC, and LGBTQ individuals. This exhibition will have a particular focus on promoting artwork by those who have been historically underrepresented in the arts.
The Politits Art Coalition supports diversity in practice and strength in vision. This is an exhibition intended to be free from censorship, open to artists from Rochester and beyond.
“No man’s land” refers to territory under dispute between parties who then leave it unoccupied due to fear or uncertainty. In this exhibition underrepresented artists will lay a claim to their piece of the art world.
