This year, we will accept works from up to 40 artists. Submissions are particularly encouraged from female-identifying, POC, and LGBTQ individuals. This exhibition will have a particular focus on promoting artwork by those who have been historically underrepresented in the arts.

The Politits Art Coalition supports diversity in practice and strength in vision. This is an exhibition intended to be free from censorship, open to artists from Rochester and beyond.

“No man’s land” refers to territory under dispute between parties who then leave it unoccupied due to fear or uncertainty. In this exhibition underrepresented artists will lay a claim to their piece of the art world.

Feels good to have a studio again! Time to pick up where I left off (the painting on the easel was started during my residency at Soaring Gardens).
